As the Market analysis and strategy intern, you will responsible for helping the Strategy & Planning (S&P) team drive business strategy across a variety of consumer and business brands. Working alongside the team, this role will assist with finding new business development opportunities in a range of media markets.
This role involves providing actionable and high-impact insight, based on data analysis and desk research, drawing inferences from data sets, and writing up findings.
Specific responsibilities to include:
Market analysis: Compiling research to help teams better understand their markets - looking at industry trends, competitor activity, researching market size and growth indicators, and helping create market maps.
Data analysis: Analysing and manipulating data sets to draw insight.
Reporting: Help the S&P team and brand management teams to create the required strategy documentation for their Market Development Plans. Help maintain project progress reports.
Skills and experience
-Excellent numerical analysis skills and ability to draw conclusions from data analysis
-Experience in manipulating data using Excel, pivot tables etc
-Research and analysis skills - ability to extract insight from a variety of information sources, seeing the wood from the trees
-Report writing and spreadsheet editing
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
Numerate and with good written communication skills
Energetic and able to communicate with senior colleagues
Highly organised - able to manage multiple projects
Tenacious - a ‘finisher’
