
The Carbon Show 2010 took place on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October at the Business Design Centre London.
The Haymarket exhibition was a great success with 75 exhibitors, 150 speakers and more 1500 participants from leading organisations in carbon management, trading and finance.
Lord Michael Heseltine opened The Carbon Show and declared the event a great success emphasizing the importance and timely nature show: “The Carbon Show is well timed. Now more than ever it is critical that business leaders commit to revolutionising their organisations to ensure they can compete in the future low-carbon market place.”
Lord Heseltine was joined by Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Chris Huhne, who discussed how the UK intends drive low carbon revolution. With an engaging speech Mr Huhne highlighted the importance of moving to a low carbon economy which has the “huge potential for new jobs and fresh investment as well as creating a better environment for everyone” Mr Huhne said: “The Carbon Show is bringing some of our best business brains together to share ideas and knowledge on how to capitalise on a shift to low carbon. We want to be the greenest government ever by backing sound policy and actions to reduce emissions and increase the nation’s energy security.
