Haymarket is excited to announce a new multi-platform partnership in the Netherlands. From the autumn, Autocar and Classic & Sports Car will expand their international reach by being published in the Netherlands and the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium, in association with Currus Media, a pioneering digital media company.

Currus Media will introduce the Autocar and Classic & Sports Car brands to a new audience, engaging readers with a modern, innovative approach to automotive content, which encompasses events, gaming, podcasting, a website, social media channels and a magazine.

Robert van den Ham, Managing Director, Currus Media, said: “We will introduce Autocar from the beginning as a wide media brand, with not only a magazine, website and social media, but also with events, games and podcasts. Classic & Sports Car first will be a part of the automotive content we publish, but next year also in the Netherlands it will be a media brand on its own. We are looking forward to working together with of our colleagues all over the world.”

Mark Tisshaw, Autocar Editor, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Autocar Netherlands into the Autocar family. Autocar is the oldest motoring publication in the world, and is loved and respected wherever it is read. Being able to better serve our readers in the Netherlands will only strengthen this position, and we’re excited to work with our new colleagues on further increasing Autocar’s global reach, in a country full of people who love cars and car stories as much as we do.”

Jim Holder, Haymarket Media Group’s Automotive Editorial Director, said: “Autocar has been setting the agenda since it was founded in 1895, when there were just a few dozen cars in the UK. This new initiative in the Netherlands fits in perfectly with that pioneering spirit, as the team looks to combine our traditional values of being first and expert in our coverage while breaking new ground in areas such as technology and connectivity. We will be watching their progress and success with interest.”
