London, Thursday 21 September 2017: Haymarket Media Group, the international specialist media, technology and live events company, today announces a major new partnership with Bicester Heritage and Historic Promotions, the team behind Flywheel - the festival of classic wings and wheels, held at the UK’s best-preserved WW2 RAF Bomber Station.
Haymarket - owner of iconic motoring brands including Autocar, What Car? and PistonHeads - already reaches over nine million highly engaged petrolheads every month with its trusted and valued car content. Haymarket’s Classic & Sports Car brand covers everything from mainstream favourites to one-offs, prototypes and great racers from around the world. And The Classic & Sports Car Show made its debut at London’s Alexandra Palace in 2015, showcasing over £30m of rare classic cars under one roof.
The partnership announced today will see the creation of a major new headline event in the motor enthusiasts’ calendar, building on the success of Flywheel (which has just celebrated its third year) and hosted in Oxfordshire by Bicester Heritage - the national centre for historic motoring enterprise. Haymarket will partner with Bicester Heritage and Flywheel - produced by Historic Promotions - to develop this exciting new event.
The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel will take place in June 2018 and is set to become a major new must-visit historic motoring event for serious collectors, like-minded enthusiasts and all the family.
