The World Interiors News Awards (WIN) 2016 took place at the Design Museum in Kensington, with winners announced in 17 categories (23rd February).
In November 2016, World Interiors News was part of the acquisition of new assets to Haymarket’s Built Environment portfolio, which also included the acquisition of the British Home Awards and World Architecture News.
The WIN Awards recognise the designs that are reshaping the cultural landscape and redefining the way in which we live, work and experience interior spaces. This year’s Awards saw nearly 600 entries from 459 companies across 46 countries. The winners were awarded gongs by Piers Taylor, award-winning architect and BBC television presenter.
The Awards cover 17 categories that come under three main headings: Interior Projects, which covers buildings like bars, hotels, and restaurants; Practices Awards, which rewards teams; and Interior Products, which recognises the best furniture, lighting and accessories. Steven Penney, Awards Manager, said: “The evening saw us surrounded by over 200 of the biggest and brightest names in international design including judges, entrants, clients and sponsors - the event was a great success.”
The Design Museum was opened in November 2016 after being remodelled by internationally acclaimed architect John Pawson.
