Three wins for FourFourTwo Stats Zone at AOP awards

Last night saw Haymarket’s FourFourTwo Stats Zone app take home a trio of prizes from the 11th annual AOP Digital Publishing Awards.

The app, which allows users to analyse every Premier League & Champions League game in amazing detail, took the trophy in both the Innovation and Use of Mobile categories before being awarded the Grand Prix 2012 prize.

Held at Camden’s Roundhouse in London, the awards saw professionals from across the digital publishing sphere come together to celebrate the best and most innovative that the industry has to offer.

On awarding the Grand Prix 2012 the deciding panel said:  ‘The judges were impressed with how FourFourTwo Stats Zone developed a long-standing print title with a digital idea and execution that called upon all of the best and most creative skills of our industry. Leveraging audience and data, this entry delivered a genuinely innovative idea that elevated its brand to a new level of product thinking.’

On the win editor of FourFourTwo David Hall said: ‘FourFourTwo’s performance at the AOP Awards last night was a massive thumbs up for the brand from the digital world. To have our Stats Zone app win not only the Innovation category and Use of Mobile but also scoop the Grand Prix award laid down a marker that confirms what we’ve known for some time: FourFourTwo is more than just a magazine’
