Autocar receives record number of nominations in 2012 headlineauto Awards shortlist
Consumer media brand
Autocar has left its competitors in the dust by wracking up a record 14 nominations for this September’s
headlineauto Awards. Appearing in the shortlists for 10 different awards, this impressive nomination sweep sees Autocar being represented at least once in every one of the relevant categories.
Now in its fifth year the
headlineauto Awards celebrate the best of British automotive media from consumer press to the B2B sector. The awards recognise excellence in automotive journalism across all platforms - including print, photography and online coverage - of the motoring stories and issues which have mattered most during the past year.
Amongst the many nominations for Autocar, the weekly magazine will be defending its title as Best Consumer Publication, having taken home the trophy at last year’s awards. There is also considerable recognition for individual members of the Autocar editorial team, especially in the News Writer of the Year category, with over half the shortlist consisting of Autocar journalists.
Autocar Publisher Alastair Lewis ‘It’s been a very busy year for the Autocar team, who have worked extremely hard to concurrently usher in a substantial redesign of the magazine and build a brand new website. The efforts of all involved have been reflected in the remarkable number of nominations for this year’s
headlineauto Awards. Hopefully we’ll have a good excuse to celebrate when the winners are announced next month.’
Decided by a judging panel of consumer and business media experts, the winners will be announced on 25 September.
