What Car? Awards sponsorship programme bags three medals at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2012

What Car? Awards sponsorship programme with Slingshot Sponsorship beat both Coca-Cola’s Olympic movement sponsorship and Barclays Cycle Hire, to walk away with three medals at this year’s Corporate Engagement Awards.

Held at London’s Victory Services Club, the Corporate Engagement Awards, now in their second year, celebrate the most brilliant examples of corporate partnerships, sponsorships and philanthropy from around the globe.
Designed to act as a benchmark for best practice in all elements of the corporate engagement process the awards incorporates 16 categories, with the winners being selected by a panel of nine expert judges.
The most highly decorated programme of the night, What Car? Awards partnership with Slingshot Sponsorship won Gold in two categories: ‘Best relationship-building sponsorship programme’ and ‘Best execution of corporate sponsorship activity’, as well as a Bronze in ‘Best collaborative approach’. The trio of medals further illustrates the success of the awards programme which saw a 1032% increase in revenue across the 2012 awards.
Formed out of What Car? Awards’ desire to attract increased sponsorship for the annual event, the programme with Slingshot has seen What Car? host a series of brand relationship building events across the year, including a special Sponsors Lunch, as well as instigating a greater focus on media and a stronger utilisation of social networks.
Thanks to the ongoing partnership between What Car? and Slingshot, the awards have seen a 100% sponsorship renewal rate for the 2013 awards.
