Autosport magazine unveils its new look
Haymarket’s Autosport magazine is preparing to usher in a new season of changes in Formula One with some developments of its own.
The title has been redesigned from front to back, with a new masthead,
writers, editorial features and changes on every page – even though its
focus remains firmly on reporting everything from F1 through to the
British club motor racing scene.
New BBC F1 pundit David Coulthard, a veteran of 246 grands prix,
joins the writing staff to provide expert insight before every race,
and Bradley Lord – features editor of Autosport’s monthly sister title F1 Racing – will write a new weekly column.
The magazine also features an all-new back section, ‘Final Drive’,
including a comprehensive weekly guide to what’s on in motorsport and
the return of an Autosport
favourite, ‘Race of My Life’. The latter feature kicks off with an
exclusive interview with seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.
Editor Andrew van de Burgt, who masterminded the redesign with art
editor Amar Hussain, said: “There is a lot of expectation on our
shoulders, given Autosport’s
59-year history, but we hope that the changes will make the magazine
feel fresh and exciting for both new and existing readers.”
The new-look Autosport goes on sale tomorrow, March 12.
