Haymarket to print global windpower title in the UK

Haymarket Business Media has transferred the printing of Windpower Monthly to the UK from Denmark, according to printweek.com.

The magazine, which is distributed internationally and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, will now be printed by Welsh printer Stephens & George.

Haymarket’s group production director Chris King said moving the title to the UK would allow Haymarket to achieve greater economies of scale, while also reducing the carbon footprint associated with printing abroad.

“We are full of admiration for the Danish printer that had carried out the printing of this title until now. They did a very professional job,” said King.

“Full credit must also go to UK head of production Laura McClennon who project-managed the successful transfer of Windpower Monthly,’ he said, “from budgeting right through to personally press passing the first issue in Wales. The end result is a high quality product, produced on time, with lower costs and an improved carbon footprint.”
