Third Sector web relaunch gets practical advice to charities

Haymarket’s Third Sector has relaunched its website with a new section that gives easier access to tips, expert advice and case studies for charity professionals.

The Good Practice section on Thirdsector.co.uk allows users to do a targeted search to find interviews, case studies, guides to the law and commentaries by experts from the ‘At Work’ section of Third Sector magazine.

The new section also showcases the latest practical articles in the site’s five main themes of Fundraising, Finance, Governance, Communications and Management.

“There is a wealth of practical information in our archive,” said Helen Barrett, editor of Thirdsector.co.uk, “and this offers people a much easier way to find what they need.”

She said she hoped the new section would prove to be a significant service to website users.

The relaunched site has also adopted Third Sector’s new visual identity, which was introduced with a magazine redesign in June.

The new design – which was informed by reader feedback and brought a more contemporary feel and a clearer, more spacious layout to the magazine – has translated into wider pages and reorganised content on the website.

The changes have been welcomed by readers on Twitter, according to Barrett. She says that Third Sector has more changes in development that will focus on giving charity professionals access to more of the best, most relevant online content.
