Stuff announces two new iPad apps
Stuff, the world’s best-selling gadget magazine, is proud to announce the launch of two iPad apps, Stuff DNA and Stuff Live.
Stuff DNA examines ten of the greatest gadgets ever and how their geeky genes can be traced to the hottest gadgets of this year. It has been exclusively commissioned for iPad and includes the brand’s acclaimed gadget photography, videos and interactive graphs.
The free-to-download app, Stuff Live, will deliver galleries of stunning photography directly to users' iPads, allowing them to keep up to date with the latest magazine features and gadget launches.
Fraser Macdonald, editor-in-chief, said: “Stuff DNA and Stuff Live are the result of a lot of thought and research into how we can best translate Stuff onto the iPad. Rather than haphazardly shoehorning magazine features into a new format, we decided to create custom apps, with unique and original content."
“It’s an example of Stuff’s determination to innovate rather than imitate.”
Advertising Director Mike Walsh added “We are delighted to include interactive adverts from Audi, Sonos, Olympus and Parrot in Stuff DNA whilst Stuff Live will launch with an integrated sponsorship from Renault. Our strategy of producing unique content and offering collaborative advertising offers a fresh opportunity for advertisers on this innovative platform.”
Stuff DNA will be priced at just £1.19, and is to be the first of a series of Stuff iPad apps in 2011, examining different aspects of consumer technology as well as lifestyle topics. It is available now through the iTunes Store.
Stuff live is due for release mid January to early February.
