The MasterChef Live Challenge launches at BBC Good Food Show Summer

The BBC Good Food Show Summer announced today that it will be giving members of the public the chance to cook their signature dish live on stage for John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

This brand new competition will run from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June 2011 as part of the MasterChef Experience at the BBC Good Food Show Summer.

The show’s organisers are looking for contestants to cook one dish in 45 minutes which will be judged by John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

John Torode said: “This is your chance to be judged like all the MasterChef elite from the series but live. This is no time for lumpy mash or burnt sausages – this is your opportunity to truly impress us with your culinary creations.”

Gregg Wallace added: “If you're thinking about cooking an omelette you can go home now.”

Each day’s winner will compete in a Grand Final on Sunday afternoon to be crowned MasterChef Live Challenge Champion June 2011.

Contestants can apply by visiting MasterChefLive.com and filling in the online application form.
