Four Four Two Australia Award Success
At the inaugural Footy Fans Down Under Awards on Friday June 10, in Sydney, FourFourTwo Australia walked away with a double – winning ‘Best Magazine’ and ‘Best Website’ after over 14,000 Australian football fans registered their votes.
This caps off a stellar year for the FourFourTwo team who also won three major awards at the recent Publishers Australia awards. Publishing director, Andy Jackson said, “We were delighted to have our work recognised in the two main media categories by the people that matter most to us – the fans. It’s another clear signal that the quality of the work our small team here consistently produces resonates with fans of Australian football.”
The awards also had a special cameo appearance from Aussie Premier League legend Tim Cahill (pictured with Andy Jackson) who turned up in person to collect his Overseas Player of The Year Award.
FourFourTwo also sponsored the Supporter Group of the Year Award which was won by the Sydney Celtic Supporters Club. The evening was attended by over 100 members of the media, supporter groups, players and fans.
