Building on the illustrious Spikes Awards, the Spikes Festival is collaboration between Cannes Lions and Haymarket.
It provides the region’s growing creative and advertising industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together some of the finest creative thinkers from across the region and around the world.
The Festival offers a challenging programme of seminars and workshops focusing on creativity and learning, exhibitions of the region’s best creative work from Asia Pacific, networking events in the evening and the Spikes Asia Awards Ceremony. Presenting the latest in cutting-edge creativity, the seminars and workshops give delegates access to speakers in the region and from around the world.
Festival attendance benefits all individuals involved in creativity and communications, including art directors, creatives, copywriters, media agency executives, clients, account managers, agency heads, producers and directors from the region and around the globe. Student and Young Spikes (for young creatives) registration packages are also available.
Spikes Asia is the region’s oldest and most prestigious Festival of creativity in advertising, with entry sections for Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, the Jade Spikes for Integrated, Direct, Promo & Activation, Media, Print Craft, Film Craft, Design and, new for 2011, PR and Mobile.
Eight juries of leading international and regional creatives assess the work in Singapore during the Festival week. The highest awarded agency and network also wins Agency and Network of the Year respectively, and the Advertiser of the Year is announced before the Festival kicks off. Spikes will also be handing out the Media Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year Award. Grand Prix, Gold, Silver or Bronze Spikes are awarded for the best work in each competition.
