The What Car? Car of the Year Awards, held every January in London’s Grosvenor House hotel, are recognised as the car industry’s equivalent to the Oscars.

There are 16 major categories, but the most sought-after prize is the What Car? Car of the Year Award. This is given to the car that proves itself as the best all-rounder.

The Awards attract more than 1000 of the industry’s most influential figures, including senior decision makers from car manufacturers, retailers and industry suppliers.

The Awards are recognised as the most influential among car buyers in the UK and are highly coveted by the industry.
