Haymarket wins the PPA Sustainability Award

London, 23 July 2021: Haymarket has won the 2021 Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Award for Sustainability for the second time since the introduction of the Award in 2020.

The judges said: ‘Haymarket has a holistic approach to sustainability which is deeply embedded in the business, and has a focus on social as well as environmental change. Its work around modern slavery was noted by judges as particularly impressive. There is a defined understanding of their environmental responsibility and a packed programme with clear goals and loads of activity, with impressive efforts to reduce energy and waste.’

Kevin Costello, Chief Executive at Haymarket said: ‘This is an outstanding result and testament to everyone’s hard work. We have much to do but should be very proud of everything we have achieved to date.’

Gary Charlton, Head of Procurement at Haymarket added: ‘The award is down to the hard work of all the teams and individuals that put Sustainability at the heart of what they do. The UK and Global Sustain teams have set ambitious goals for the coming year, and we are focused on achieving much more.’
