Mary Manna Anderson Joins Haymarket as Head of Medical Education Businesses

New York, July 31, 2018 – Mary Manna Anderson, a global healthcare communications professional with 30 years of experience in the industry, has joined Haymarket Media, Inc. as President of Haymarket Medical Education & Medical Affairs. She will oversee two key business entities—Haymarket Medical Education, the Continuing Medical Education division of the company, and PRI Healthcare Solutions, the custom medical education agency.

Anderson comes to Haymarket from Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide Medical Education, where she led the company’s international Medical Education and Scientific Communication division for 13 years. Her leadership and team-building contributed to a decade of year-over-year growth. She also diversified the business, starting a peer-reviewed publication business, introduced a suite of medical affairs services and integrated digital as a backbone to the medical education offering.

Reporting to Anderson will be Matt Holland, General Manager of HME, and Tammy Chernin, General Manager of PRI Healthcare Solutions. Anderson will be based in Paramus, NJ, and will report to CEO Maniscalco.

Earlier in her career, Anderson was recognized as an industry Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She remains active volunteer with HBA most recently as regional director for the organization’s mentoring program. She was also named to the prestigious PharmaVOICE magazine 100, which recognizes life science professionals who inspire through their innovative and motivational approaches.

Anderson began her career as Public Relations Manager for Savvy magazine before moving into healthcare communications and joining The Network for Continuing Medical Education, where she produced CME programs for hospitals under a yearly grant from Hoffmann-LaRoche. She then spent 7 years at MPE Communications, a custom healthcare publishing company, spending approximately half of her time in business development before starting her own medical education division for a small private advertising agency.

She earned her degree in journalism and economics from New York University’s School of Arts and Sciences. While on campus she served as president of AIESEC, a nonprofit organization that promotes youth leadership globally through internships and volunteer opportunities.
